Well, he takes in those unwanted souls that were rejected from heaven. Also, he punishes those that has done evil. I think it's fair to say he's abit misunderstood(?)

FOR THE GLORY OF SATAN
fenken 39 points · 2 days ago
Actually, the devil gave humans critical thinking, which God didn't want. He wanted us to not eat from the tree of knowledge of whatever the hell so we could basically be thought-slaves for eternity, but the devil did us a favour and turned the tables there with a single conversation. Also, the devil killed a grand total of 10 people, while God killed somewhere around 2.3 million.
fenken 47 points · 2 days ago
He understands human nature, but doesn't judge you for being human. He accepts God's unwanted children unconditionally. And still, he's being hated. Why? Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's our silent guardian, a watchful guardian.

George Yeo trolls Baey Yam Keng- Most MP are out of touch with reality

Well, George Yeo is quite the joker, which is really great that politicians can take jokes (even at others' expenses)

Spotted at George Yeo's facebook page

Including tissue, $4.80 at Loyang Point.

Hah! I love that guy.

For those who are blurred on this issue, a fellow PAP MP (oh wait, I forgot George Yeo is no longer a MP), Mr Baey Yam Keng, posted a photo on social media of his meal, a Nasi Padang and a bandung drink.

He proclaimed it of a cheap meal of $3... $2.50 for the nasi pandang and $0.50 for the bandung drink.
(sold at the coffeeshop TAMPINES STREET 44, BLOCK 475)

Needless to say, within a short time, he got lambasted by other singaporeans who figured out that $3 for such a meal is too little, and there was accusation of corruptions and favours....
Someone wrote that he had the exact meal and was charged $6 for the Nasi Pandang.

Honestly, I dont think this is a case of corruption. I mean, Corruption for $6 of nasi pandang? I believe the MP can afford that. Not a case of favouring by the coffeeshop owner as well, because even if it is favouring, it happens everywhere. Don't believe me? Get your colleague who is pretty dolled up, wearing nice sexy clothes to order some economical rice at the coffeeshop and see how much they charge her... =)
Or... just be very polite and nice to the stallholder, and visit that stall regularly, and eventually, you will get bigger portions.

Thats how it works, and I think it is fine. The Nasi pandang vendor probably just charge a nominal fare for the food, because he respect the MP and like to express his gratitude in a small way. I don't see anything wrong with that.

However, the BIGGEST fault is that Mr Baey, actually think there is nothing wrong with the meal costing $3.
I mean, seriously, he actually post the photo on social media, obviously because he was unaware of that hefty discount he got.
And he gleefully announced that the Nasi Pandang probably costs $2.50 and the Bandung drink, $0.50.

Nasi Pandang is an expensive hawker meal, and most Nasi Pandang meal I ordered costs $5, or $6, sometime it goes to $8 or $10, especially when you order fish or sotong. How would any typical Singaporean not know otherwise? In fact, any typical hawker meal, such as fishball noodles, chicken rice, wanton mee etc would not be cheaper than $3. Most hawkers or coffeeshops are selling them for $3.50... to still believe that a simple dish can be bought for $2.50 is naive.

And a bandung for $0.50?
That is so ridiculous.
The normal can drink at our local coffeeshop has already gone from $1.30 to $1.50 (I wonder why it skipped the $1.40 price floor), I have been eating at coffeeshops from tampines to jurong, so I don't think any other coffeeshop is too far off from what I've experienced.

How did Mr Baey even can consider a drink for $0.50?
Not even kopi. Not even a tea bag drink.

I believe Mr Baey, and many of his fellow colleagues have not been unable to dine in hawker centres, and or coffeeshops (or perhaps they were unable to pay for their food, maybe company aides pay for it and all). I can imagine many of the PAP MPs are directors, or doctors or high level people who work in Shenton way and such, and is totally immune to the increasing costs of living. They do not realised hawker food is no longer cheap, that a $0.50 beverage was extinct a few years ago...

If you guys want to reinvent PAP, and want to make sure you do not lose too many votes in the next election, I sincerely suggest you guys roll up your sleeves and start getting in touch with the citizens, especially those lower-income groups who would really appreciate a $2.50 dish meal.

Mr Baey, and PAP grassroot members, the truth is... you guys are not corrupt.
But you guys are no longer in touch with the costs of living in Singapore.

4 Japanese did a viral video of Singapore

4 Japanese students did Singapore's tourism a lot more good than all the staff of STB (Singapore Tourism Board) combined.

The best efforts are usually those from the public, so called, "crowd-sourced"?

Honestly, its the best advertisement for Singapore than those "Uniquely Singapore" commercial advertisements....

Four exchange students from Japan wanted their countrymen to experience what Singapore is like beyond Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion, so they made a three-minute music video showcase of the city (Photo: Screen grab from YouTube)Four Japanese students on an exchange programme at the National University of Singapore brought out the spontaneous and fun side of Singapore with a three-minute music video featuring people dancing at 45 different tourist locations around the city.
The video shows tourists and residents alike dancing to ‘Koi-sure Fortune Cookie’, originally performed by AKB48, a popular Japanese girl band.
Uploaded on 13 November 2013, the video has so far been viewed more than 34,000 times and gathered more than 380 “likes” on YouTube.
Speaking to inSing, Yu Iiyoshi, a 20-year-old from Keio University in Tokyo, said: “There are many Japanese people who do not know much about Singapore. They think that Merlion and Marina Bay Sands stand for Singapore.
“We wanted to change these images or impressions on Singapore.”
Along with three other team members, Jackie Kim, Takanori Ito and Yuya Takeuchi from University of Tokyo, they took an entire month to see the video to completion.
The biggest problem they faced was getting people to take part in the video production.
“It was really difficult to ask people just passing by to dance, because dancing in front of a lot of people is always embarrassing. We were often refused by many people and it was quite tough for us,” she recalled.
The four foreign students hope that this video of Singapore can be a platform for people all over the world to find out more about this tiny city in Southeast Asia.

10 Mega Corporations of our daily lives

Ten mega corporations control the output of almost everything you buy; from household products to pet food to jeans.

When I purchase any cereal, I know that inevitably, most of them belong to 1 or 2 corporations.
Corporations love to crowd out the market place with all their own products...

but so many of our daily products controlled by 10 corporations?

Wow! Mind boggling.

How do you view your own country?

When you think about your own country, do you defend it?
Or do you criticize it?

I criticize it when people say how nice it is....
I defend it when people (especially foreigners) say how bad it is....

TPL in a bad period

http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/tin-pei-ling-goes-after-resident-who-throws-sanitary-pad

Tin Pei Ling goes searching 7 stories to search for high-rise littering culprit.
You know, I would like to give her credit for doing her best to help residents.

It is good to see them finally cramping down...

Hope she catch them red-handed.
_____________________________________________________-

In the article, there is another mention of another... MP in action.

Last week, the Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported that residents had complained of 'diapers' being frequently found at the foot of Blk 444 at Tampines Street 42. The final straw came when their MP, Mr Baey Yam Keng recovered a diaper that was still 'warm', prompting him to search over 12 floors to catch the diaper-throwing culprit.

uhm, it is still 'warm'? hahaha i am really curious how they search for the culprit, do they go household by household and ask if they have a baby, and if so, has it shitted recently?

Jokes aside, keep up the pressure.
Cannot stand these inconsiderate buggers.

My Proposal

[Latest update with video:- His Proposal, Her Surprise, Our Love]

It started with a ring. A diamond ring.
And a lone trip to an overseas country, to surprise my girlfriend who is having her holidays with the girls...

Waiting at the airport, alone. I really hate flying alone... Zzzz.

After a long journey from the airport, to the shop, then carrying the huge cumbersome, bulky mascot uniform, and sneaking into the same hotel as my gf, with great help from her friends who sneak SMS to me whenever they returns to the hotel....
I didnt' take photos of the mascot shops, nor the journey, because it was really hot trying to find the place. Even taxi drivers have difficulties finding the road, and the hotel. I did not realize that so many taxi drivers don't know where is "Platinum Mall".

Finally with the mascot costumes safely in my hotel room, and me dying of hunger... I sneaked out to bring back some food and drinks.

Coconut drink, orange juice, some cockles, dunno-what meat, and barbecued squids, sausages and meatballs.....
This was my first meal of the day. The squids, the meat omg, i can spend whole day eating it.
Actually I spent almost the whole day eating these food and hiding in my hotel room, and waiting for the SMS from my gf's friends....

I also tried to wear the mascot on my own, and realized, I can't do it on my own. So in the end, I had to seek more help...

Finally the SMS arrived, and I had seek the hotel receptionist, the bellboy to help me in wearing the uniform.
Plus 1 more receptionist to take photos / videos for me.

Not forgetting the ring.
To be hidden in the Tiger's paws.

Almost done with the paws. Yes there are other tourists giggling at the background.

Yup, I am done, petting my own face to make sure my whiskies are tidy.

Acting nonchalant.... I am just a statue in the hotel.

Oooo the girlfriend appears. And I dash out to socialize with these... tourists.

She walks away with her friends, I must try and stop her for a photoshoot.

Hi there! Would you want to take a photo with a cute tiger?

And all her friends left us alone to take photos...

She started to be suspicious and asked her friends why no one wants to take photos with the tiger.

So a good friend obliged to tone down her suspicions...

Tada! Operation Suspicion Downtune.

And the official photographer behind smirking a smile.....

Blah blah blah, I got down on my knees, sneak out the ring for her!

"Would you marry me?"

"I knew it!"

Girlfriend said I was shaking the whole time when I was proposing, and I barely managed to get the ring into her finger.....

Thanks so much for the kind help! And soooo happy I can share the happiness with you girls!
more photos in the next blogposts.
And video coming up!!

Why I choose a Tiger mascot.
My gf and I know each other from mutual friends' wedding where I was the brother and she was the sister, we become friends, but barely talks on facebook during the 5 years we know each other. We only started talking when the Chinese zodia Year of the Tiger approaches, and she posted a facebook status about a tiger, and I started posting something on her status and.... we started chatting about she being a Tiger.
She also has a photo of her petting a real tiger, and the conversation drift about that tiger now and then...

The "once a while chat" became daily, and sometimes even when we force ourselves to stop chatting due to work/overseas, we found ourselves unbearably drawn to messaging each other. The search for wifi in overseas locations, the repression of heart-absence....

The one thing I appreciate about this relationship is we started both as friends, neither of us wanted a relationship, we just speak to each other to pass time when we were working.
The Tiger helped us start this beautiful relationship...

Twitter IPO- They should pay us for tweeting!

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/10/15/us-twitter-ipo-idUSBRE99E15520131015
Twitter Inc revealed on Tuesday a tripling in quarterly losses as it prepares to list on the New York Stock Exchange in one of the year's most anticipated IPOs.

Now that twitter is going to list IPO on NYSE, with a valuation of USD $12.8 to USD $20 billion.
Yes, thats billion with a b.

The US$12.8 billion figure is derived from the fair value that Twitter put on its shares in an initial public offering (IPO) filing. Ironfire Capital and Gamco Investors project the San Francisco-based could be worth US$15 billion to US$20 billion once it begins trading.
http://www.sharesinv.com/articles/2013/10/11/twitter-valuation-seen-exceeding-us20-billion-after-ipo/

As regular twitters, don't you think we should be paid? Just like how Google bloggers get paid when people click on ads?
1 cent per tweet would be good! :D
