Library is closing in 1/2 an hour's time

Oh my.

I never though I would ever work in the library till closing time.
but I did it.

twice.

one of them on a Sunday.

#!%$$#!@#, sunday afternoon spent in NUS library.
And I can't believe that when they announced that the library is closing in half-an-hour time....in my mind, I actually went..

"wat? so fast? I still need to do more work...."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And yes, I have so much books, and oh boy, most of them are super thick.
imagine cherub on a large table meant for 2, with books sprawled all over them.
and yes, even the librarian who was clearing the stacks of books on the shelves came to my table and asked
"are you still using all these books?"
"yes" meek cherub whimpered.
I was so guilty with the large volume of books I had taken, i didn't want the poor librarian to return them for me, so I had to make 3 trips to the bookshelves to return all the books. too bulky to carry at one go.
And no, i didn't make 3 trips coz I'm too weak to carry all of them, thank you very much.
but i do think i need to get some sunshine soon.
on 2nd thoughts, i shld just sit closer to the fluorescent lights next time.
You grow taller with lights. How you think cherub grow so tall?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Come to think of that, it wasn't just twice that I spent my time till closing time.
tat was only the NUS library.

I spent so much time in the ISEAS (institute of southeast asia studies) library too.

Which I really must hao lian here....

I am a user of ISEAS library!!!

Whats the big deal, you asked.

oh crap, u think wad? national library anyone can walk in ah?
ITS NOT OPEN TO PUBLIC, okay?!!!

I must ask my supervisor to use an offical NUS letterhead, with the proper authority to seek permission for me to use their library for a specific period of time can. :)
somemore i got to use their allocated visitor parking space.
Wah, i have been just promoted to a higher-level nerd!

hey, the nerds academic-inclined professionals using the library are very eh, well dressed can. i usually see the guys wearing jackets and etc, and even got photographer come and take photos for some interviews with this important-looking guy.

the important-looking guy took the hassle of moving a whole stack of unrelated books (i checked, they are all in Bahasa Indonesia) to the table for the photoshot.

Look like ang-mor also know how to wayang.

Funniest Email exchanges ever.

This is so damn funny. I really love corporate jokes. :)
Got this via LinkScan

E-Mail Runs Amok in the UK

Following the gloomy, foggy mornings we've had in the UK recently,
we were regularly getting a couple of e-mails each morning distributed
to the whole site saying words to the effect of "Blue Ford Registration
W123XYZ lights left on".

This generated the following e-mails, also all distributed to the
entire site. These are all genuine, I have altered them only to remove
any clues as to the company/people involved...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ladies and Gentlemen,
whilst it is nice to be informed if you have left your car lights on, it
is not a very productive use of company resources.
A site-wide mail of this type will reach over 500 people/mailboxes, and
apart from clogging the network, adds to the load on the mail server.
Messages like these are currently generating over ten thousand mails per
week, which costs the company thousands of pounds in lost project time,
even if they are deleted straight away by the recipient!
Please can everybody consider their actions before using mail, especially
if sending it to large distribution lists.
Thanks.
Simon (IT)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Re: car lights
I agree it may be a waste of resources to send such a message
as a site wide mail message.

I have however a proposal:
How about creating a list/index (maybe Excel spreadsheet) of employee
car registration numbers and making it accesible over the network?
With such an index we would be able to target the car owners much
more prcisely.
Human resources already have the relevant information.

Just an idea

Arne

Right, lets sort this out once and for all.

Maplin sell a small kit (about a fiver) which you can install in you car
to buzz when you open the drivers' door with the lights on. It's not that
difficult to install (but depends on how awkward your car is).
It's called a car-lights-on-warning-indicator in the 'car' section of
'Projects and Modules' in the catalogue. Both Maplin and Maplin
Professional Supplies carry the item.

So, all you need is a fiver, some bits of wire, some tools and a
competent installer (possibly your good self).

Jonathan

Surely the best way to avoid this problem is to turn your lights off
BEFORE LEAVING YOUR CAR. This way you can avoid an unneccessary walk
back up to the car park in the rain.

However, if you are rather forgetful - like myself - then perhaps you
could tie a piece of string (although fishing line is probably more
durable) to your headlamp switch and to a finger on your right hand.
The pulling on your finger as you leave the car will remind you to turn
your lights off.

Jonnie.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My, Mail clogging, recommendation is to walk or use public transport.
Regards
David
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Erm...

I was under the impression that most cars had a built in mechanism to
turn their headlights off automatically...

Usually after about 9-10 hours!

Byeee,
Steve.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Top tip:
Employees: Persuade the County Council to install mirrors
along the length of the walls in the car parking levels. This way when you
park up, you'll notice some bugger dazzling you with their headlights.
When you realise that this is you, this will serve as a useful reminder to
turn off your headlights.
Paul.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Avoid this problem by never tuning your lights on, instead paint the
bulbs bright yellow so, from a distance, they look as if they are on.
You will also save electricity.

Regards

Alan ( where the hell's the road gone!!!!!) G.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please note that although these proposals are quite ingenious, in this
instance, it would NOT be appropriate to submit invention reports to
the Patent Department.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Simply power your lights from a small pedal-driven generator in the
passenger's footwell. This both cures the problem of leaving lights on,
and also helps the environment by promoting car-pools.

Do I win 5 pounds?

Ian

P.S. Alternatively, to avoid the problem of wasting people's time and
company resources by sending lots of email, a Bulletin Board area could
be set up for this sort of thing (and other non-urgent announcements,
requests, whatever).

P.P.S. ...or ...did someone say Usenet News? No, I didn't think so.
But Lotus Notes is just around the corner (cough) and will probably
provide the same sort of facilities.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
People,
I've got a good idea. How about removing your car battery and
bringing it into work with you each day. That way you can
be sure you've not left them on!
Steve
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you fit an array of photoelectric cells over your vehicle's
headlights then it does not matter whether you leave them
switched ON or OFF!

Pat

That is a brilliant idea. Now the next question is how to remind myself
to remove the car battery each day.

Did any bright sparks spot the flaw in my earlier suggestion?

However, not to worry:

In the event that you should park backwards, and a car parked opposite has
a sufficiently matt finish that blocks reflections from your headlights,
simply re-negotiate with the County Council to install additional
angled/curved mirrors on the roof of the car park.

This way you can then check the status of your rear lights from
reflections bounced from the back wall to the roof, which can then be
viewed through your sunroof.
Level 5 and sunroofless cars would be a problem though, any suggestions?

That is easy, simply ensure that your car headlights are on
when you leave the car in the morning, then as you walk away from the
car you will notice the lights are on and will be reminded to remove the
battery from the car.

Easy, if you are rather forgetful - like myself - then perhaps you
could tie a piece of string (although fishing line is probably more
durable) to your car battery and to a finger on your right hand.
The pulling on your finger as you leave the car will remind you to
remove your battery.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Accidentally leaving car headlights on is only a problem
because it flattens the battery.
I suggest that all those who do not have warning devices
to tell them that their lights are on, re-wire their
ignition switches so that the engine remains running when
the key is removed.
By doing this, the car battery will be automatically topped
up by the alternator, in much the same manner as when the car
is being driven.
Peter
^^^^^
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On the subject of leaving your lights on, I think
I have got the answer.
Simply wire your headlights via the drivers seat
and then by wearing a metallic pair of pants the
act of sitting in the seat will make the connection
and turn on the lights. Thus there is no possibility
of the lights being left on while away from the car.

Be warned however that if you have a sunroof and
if you leave it open on a wet day you could be in trouble.

Barry.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think we must get back to the roots here - see Simon's original mail. The
lesson seems to be that in order to avoid using unnecessary bandwidth avoid
sending mails which say "to avoid using unnecessary bandwidth ..."
Could we extend this idea to save the company money?
To avoid ..... etc. etc.
Ideas on a postcard ( to avoid using unecessary bandwidth ).
JM.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fellow battery flateners,

You're probably fed up with useful hints on how to avoid leaving your
lights on, but I feel that I have the ultimate suggestion.

1) Ask your line manager to relocate you to a window seat overlooking
the car park

2) Buy a (large) box of spare car light bulbs.

3) Invest in a long range hunting rifle with telescopic sight.

If you accidentally leave your lights on there is no need to return to
the car park, just shoot your headlights out.

Regards

HR

PS If you see any other car's lights on you can shoot those out as well
for practice.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ladies and Gents,
in support of the company's values, namely 'Respect for the individual'
it IS acceptable to continue to use the company mail systems for uses such as
informing people if they've left their lights on.
Apologies for any offence that may have been caused, certainly none was
intended!
Happy mailing!
Regards,
Simon
let's drill oil
Hi blogders!!
This is a serious request for help (See, told you pple that I can be serious too).
I have, *gosh* 29 more days to the deadline of my thesis.
Oh god, surely you want cherub to graduate?
This is my first time dealing (dealing as in, real research instead of my magic wizard) with a local economics issue, and I was really stunned by the difficulties in gathering data from local private/public sectors. This inexperience is also reducing the help that can be offered by corporations who are unwilling to divulge corporate data to me.
No phd, no master, no nothing come and ask data...aiyoooo..
I have written down what are the main questions of my thesis, plus the rough guideline of the content page of my thesis.
The one in blue is my official proposal to NUS regarding my thesis that I submitted earlier.
Hope you get an idea of what I am trying to do.
These are the main questions that I am trying to answer:
What was the role of oil in Singapore in the past?
How about now - has the role of oil changed or has it remain the same?
What about the role in the future?
I am trying to answer these 3 questions by getting data of
1) Share of oil in GDP
2) Share of oil in trade volume
3) Share of oil in employment, value added
4) Share of oil in any kind of valuable statistics that I can find
Chapter 1: Introduction: oil - once the engine of growth in Singapore, revival of the engine in the offing or being petered out...
Chapter 2: Oil in Singapore: How has the oil sector contributed the Singapore economy to grow?
Chapter 3: Presesnt Status of Oil in Singapore: Is the oil sector being petered in the Singapore economy? Has the new form of the oil sector emerged as another engine of growth in the Singapore economy?
Chapter 4: How will the oil sector in Singapore be in the future? The role would be strengthened or remain as what it is now...
Chapter 5: Conclustion - good summary with some visions on the oil sector in Singapore.
EC4401 Economics Honours Thesis
Oil in Singapore: Past, Present and Future
Objective
Oil has always been an important strategic economic activity for Singapore, especially in her early stage of growth, where it accounted for half of Singapore’s GDP. Even as oil’s share of economic activities has been steadily declining in recent years, it still holds a strategic value in the heart of Singapore economy. And this is especially so as the oil industry here climbs up the value chain ladder, as evident by the growth of the oil financial trading and petrochemical industry.
However, there has been a lack of public data analysis and research on this engine of growth, and its role in Singapore. The aim of the thesis is to cover the past, present and future role of oil’s role in the Singapore economy.
Goals
The thesis will look at the past and present role of oil in the economy and analysis data to provide a collected review of the oil industry’s performance. It will examine the government and private sector’s roles in the Singapore oil industry, and to come up with a better evaluation of the perceived role of oil in Singapore from the view point of the government as well as the private sector.
Based on prevailing economic conditions and global trends, attention will be paid to growth of a Singapore total oil business centre, specifically with respect to the growth of trade in oil financial instruments and the development of a petrochemical hub. Analysis of data on past performance and the authority’s effort in promoting Singapore as an oil centre will be performed to come up with a detailed report of Singapore’s role in the global oil industry and future growth.
In that, the thesis will provide a careful study of the local oil industry and update data that has been lacking in the academic field of oil. A comprehensive study of the oil industry in Singapore and the position of Singapore in the global oil market will allow academics to have a more updated and proper understand of Singapore oil industry.
The funny thing is, too many people are now clearly mistaken about the positive link between "cherub" and "last minute work".
I was dealing with 2 different assignments recently and you have no idea how many people just take it as normal that cherub is doing last minute work.
and of course "last minute work is always the best work from cherub"...
-.-"
Last minute work is very harmful to my health leh.
I'm collapsing over 2 simple tutorial assignments. If I have to handle last minute work for my thesis, I think I better reserve a space at the Institute of Mental Health.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Was relaxing and wondering what a wonderful sunday it was on 27th Feb.

Till kAren kindly msn-ed me and asked for my progress on my Health assignment.

Wahliew! wat assignment?
*breathe in* to be submitted at end of Feb.

Why the hell is feb such a short month...
What happened to 29th, 30th, and 31st of Feb?!!

thanks kAren for reminding me!

*slap face* I got to stop doing these types of mistakes.

Doing a 2page summary in day is not a big feat. The difficult part is reading the 9pages articles so that I can summarise it.

Ok lah, 9 pages only, I shall read it in the night time after I settled other more important things.

important things such as sleeping and watching tv.

sunday leh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Only to realise at 2am plus that the 9page article i downloaded over the internet was actually a cropped version of the full length article, which is a mind-boggling 33 pages.
WAH LIEW.
In the end, thanks to Benjamin who passed me the hardcopy article at 3am in the morning.
*slap face* I got to stop doing these types of mistakes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Technology tutorials, submission is on Wednesday (which in chinese, is the 3rd of the week), NOT 3rd of March.

*slap face* I got to stop doing these types of mistakes.

Had to rush and photocopy the 7 readings, which I didn't even possess, from a kind fellow economics student, who don't even know me personally but offered her copies when she realised I haven't even gathered the required readings.

Thanks Cheryl!! =)

One whole night of reading (okok, i napped now and then....)
and one whole day of slogging (by my standards, at least I was slogging)

55minutes late in submission.

29 more days. Pray hard.

Milk & the Nation Press

Sheena, my dearest blodger, this is for you.
I have disappointed her by promising to blog some nights ago, and went to sleep instead...(er, tired lah, sorry kay)

and she said she burst out laughing at arts canteen with her friends when they played the Llama song.

Ok, since you like the llama song so much, I guess u will like this nice breakfast song.

The Milk and Cereal Song!!!

The Original one - Milk and Cereal Song
The Asian one - why we asians everything also wanna copy huh...
The "Master Yoda and the Sasquatch" version - Breakfast, milk and cereal for?
The Flash animation version - yes, I have too much time on my hand....
The poor-quality-but-its-special one - If you notice closely, its only 1 actor. Yup.

Haha, seriously, if you like to do this type of short movie clips and need actors, come find me leh! I think i discussed with yamato before about doing some silly clips one of these days...

Straits Times online, my default homepage, has finally done what I have long suspected since it started its registration drive some months ago.

It is revamping and charging people for access to a more "beefed-up edition", which makes me wonder why the existing online version doesn't contain the full version of the print edition in the first place.

hold the features and extra stuff, then release it together with an increase in price (From $0 to $15 per mth), hence justifying your increase in price.

hmm, in mathematical term, is it not an infinite % increase in price, since the starting price is $0?

This reminds me of years ago, when MacDonald quietly "revamped" the Value meals.

It introduced a range of Winnie the Pooh plush toys to be purchased with a Value meal, meaning that the Value Meal costs more with the bears. After the Winnie promotion ended, the price of the Value meal declined, but not to the lower original price.
Hmmm.......

And the size of the drinks and french fries had been quietly reduced after a similar promotion.

oh well, as mrbrown has put it, the real news is still available free, on the net.

"The world of the Internet has changed the way we consume news and history."

.......

"So as you can see, there is a lot of free stuff online for you to read, especially on Singapore. This Net generation will probably be responsible for documenting Singapore life like it has never been documented before."

Read his article here at Today, which by the way, is still free online or offline.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sigh, I guess I will migrate to www.asiaone.com.sg for free online local news, once Straits Times become a paid-access-only site.
Asiaone is still SPH-owned, so it'll probably be going the way of Straits Times soon, but oh well, what to do, being the stingy frugal guy I am.
Actually, my home does subscribe to the print edition of Straits Times so I guess i'll be saving a lot of electricity soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Since I'm on the topic of the our National Newspaper, i think there is nothing as Anti-StraitsTimes as the BigO.

Surprised? well, I was.

The online version of a rock magazine from Asia happens to be a red hot rebel website, from discussing gigs and musics to criticising the policies of USA, europe. There is plenty of anti-Bush stuff around, just check out the right side of the home page.

There is a section "Reformasi", monitoring Malaysia.

And of course, a "won't get fooled again [till the next boo-boo]" section lambasting the PAP.

won't get fooled again [till the next boo-boo]. how appropriately named. heh.

i really like this poster saluting Straits Times. :P

Paris Hilton, one of my favourite blonde (truly deserving her blonde hair), has been a victim again!

Her T-mobile Sidekick II (a PDA that reads email) was hacked and her pictures and contact information from her it mobile device was released on the internet.
cool.

Hilton Apologises to Celebrity Pals
Hordes of celebrities, including Christina Aguilera, Eminem, Anna Kournikova and Ashley Olsen received hundreds of calls after Hilton's T-Mobile Sidekick was recently hacked.

And yes, there is even a domain website (www.paris-hacked.com) collecting all the information from the hacked device and, all the collected responses from emailing/calling the contact numbers of her celebrity pals. u can hear anna kournikova's recorded response when one of the prankster called her.

and yes, u get to see some not-so-family-friendly photos of her topless, and her doing a lesbian kiss with her female friend.

most of her celebrity friends are so gonna change their mobile numbers, now that their numbers are published.

sigh, i hate u paris, now I have to change my mobile number.

Oil in Singapore: Where the hell is it?

help....

okok..before I explain why I have been missing from the blog scene...let me appeal for help...

I think the desperation of the situation is not emphasised enough.....

HELP!!!!

I'm doing an economic thesis for my final year, and its titled "Oil in Singapore: Past, Present and Future".
Damn ambigious title, I know.

As the title suggest, I will appreciate all kind of data, analysis, readings or whoever/whatever can be obtained about the petroleum industry in Singapore

Petroleum ==> Oil refining, oil blending, oil trading (financial trading included), petrochemical, bunkering, jet fuels, oil-rigs/tankers constructions, oil exploration services, oil retailing, oil spot markets, anything to do with OIL in Singapore.

Any smart alec trying to tell me abt palm oil or peanut oil will have his mobile number transferred to my company's telemarketing department.

Oil, the BLACK GOLD! I need help. Email me here!!
can someone swop in and help me complete start my thesis? I have only 1 more month to go....

BTW, I'm single, tall, dark and handsome presentable, and willing to do anything.

-.-"
Man, I am desperate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The main reason why I have been absent from the blogging scene is due to my grandfather's death on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year.
Ya, as the eldest grandson, I need to perform many rituals for his funeral, and to be at the wake for the 5 days.
There are many issues for me to blog, from personal feelings and emotions, to musings about chinese culture and values. You do experience some very different forms of emotions and different traditions and rituals regarding Chinese culture, especially when its a death in the family in the middle of Chinese New Year.
Yah, but I never got past the draft mode of blogging. Maybe I'm just collecting my thoughts. Maybe I'm not too sure how should I blog.
I'm too used to blogging nonsenses and funny stuff, suddenly, I'm at a loss in blogging about personal issues.
Or I'm just plain lazy.
Anyone interested to in being a sales promoter for the upcoming IT Show 2005 (10th - 13th March) for Canon Printer/Scanners/AIOs (All-In-Ones), just email me.. My friend is hiring promoters.
Its not a bad job. You get a basic pay and commission on your sales figure.
Plus, you get to know a lot more about printers and scanner technologies, and technical details.
I know, I'm such a nerd.
At least 2 different pple have msn me immediately after they saw the TV commericals.
Yes, its back on Saturday, 9:30pm.
Prime-time slot leh, mai siao siao....
the irony thing is, I'll probably have to miss more of it, since its easier for me to catch it at late timing such as 11pm plus, rather than prime-time .
This time, she is going with the 4 Seasons Girls.
No, they are not the latest additions to the KTV scene, you dirty old man.
They are the 4 jude babes of economics Honours AY2004/05.
And they are going to watch the 我猜, 我猜, 我 猜猜 show "live" in Taiwan.
oh man, I need some guys to go Taiwan with me!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One of the thing I learnt from the funeral-in-middle-of-CNY is that we chinese are probably the only culture in the world (correct me if I'm wrong) that values money so much in our life.

In happy times.....

Since the start of River HongBao, the giant statue of "Fortune God" has been there every CNY season.
The organiser decided to have a refreshing change last year and errected a statue of a Monkey (last year was Monkey Year) and oh boy, I heard that everyone who met up with the organiser asked him "WHERE'S THE FORTUNE GOD".

Needless to say, the Fortune God is back this year.

Every now and then, the "Fortune God" spews small pieces of "gold" papers with the chinese words for prosperity, and of course, a number at the back for those 4D lottery buyers.

in unhappy times...

And then in death, we have money to come in again as a form of support and condolences for the bereaved family. Known as "white gold" literally in Mandarin, its a part of our Chinese traditions to give this white gold when paying respect during the wake.

And yes, the Chinese underworld is very money-oriented as well.

we burn lots of paper wealth for our deceased grandfather.
It was tons and tons of "gold" and "silver". We burnt a "car", a grand "manison" that comes with maids, additional cars, and many many boxes of treasures.
almost every ritual involved the burning of some "gold" or "silver".
for the entire 5 days of wake, one has to continually burn "gold" or "silver" at this basin next to the coffin, one at a time, to ease the transition to the underworld.

even in this grieving times, I find it amusing that living chinese singaporeans like to think about wealth and riches.
yes, I'm talking abt the never-ending quest for 4D and Toto lottery numbers.

Yup, the license plate of the paper cars.
the license plate of the Funeral Car on the day of burial.
the license plate of MY CAR which was used to lead the funeral procession.

OK, I must admit, i bought 4D of these numbers too. :P
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And no, I never tio toto or 4D. Damnit.
the show must go on.
You may be wondering....where had Cherub disappeared?
I used to have a simple blog, in which I blogged continuously about my pathetic life.
there was nothing good to read.
Its just complains and whines about my life.
i hate it.
i ended the blog, and start a new blog. again.
it wasn't too long before it spiralled downwards in a never ending cycle of depression.
by the time i climbed and stood up, I promised myself that I shalll write only happy, cheeful stuff in my blog.
if there is depressing stuff, the blog stops.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

and yes, thanks for the concern.

and the people who cheer me up continuously, asking me to be as cheeful and entertaining as my blog.

its nice to know tat i'm raunchy. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now to cheer you readers up, here is a few favourite songs of mine.
my personal old favourite, been hearing this song quite a tad.
1) The Llama song! (click here)
Here's a llama, there's a llama
and another little llama
fuzzy llama, funny llama,
llama llama duck
llama llama cheese cake llama
tablet brick potatoe llama
llama llama mushroom llama
llama llama duck
I was once a treehouse, i lived in a cake
but i never saw the way
the orange slayed the rank. (?)
I was only 3 years dead,
but it told a tale
and now listen little child
to the safety rail
did you ever see a llama,
kiss a llama, on the llama
llama's llama
tastes of llama
llama llama duck
half a llama, twice a llama
not a llarma, farmer llarma,
llarma in a car, alarm a llama
llama llama duck
is that how its told now?
is it all so old?
is it made of lemon juice (?)
doorknob, ankle, cold
now my song is getting thin
I've run out of luck
time for me to retire now
and become a duck
2) The Badger Badger Badger song (click here).
i'm pretty amused by the total lack of substance and the even lack of attempt to put any substance in this song,
its ok, i know some boyband songs that are like that.
3) All your base are belong to us (please choose video 1)
If you're in the mood for some techno, this is really good.
It even has the same classic ahbeng's powderful england style.
and if u explore the website, u will see that there are really too many people with photoshop and way too much time on their hand.
geez, don't they have a thesis or two to write?
4) Everyone else has had more sex than me
I really like this.
Great flash. Its really of a music video quality.
with the close-in on face, posing, whatsoever.
And the bunny, u hv to agree, its cute.
In any case, the lyrics are great.
Anyone with this problem of the song, u can email me.
oh, sorry, i mean females only, of course.
Sometimes, we are just too dumb to see the obvious.
You can't hide your real intentions/feelings, you may think that its pretty obvious to others, but others may be simply too confused to know.
1 whole year, i'm just taking it, word-for-word, hook and bait.
When they start taking everything u say without doubting it, then all the more you should guide them.
do not, deceive them for ages.
and yes, do not make rational decision for others.
rational decisions are meant to be made after discussion.
One of the greatest casualty of the merger of the TV stations is my favourite TV show.
the only show I tuned in regularly. Even more regular than Friends.
Why?
Simple reason. Its one of the most top-rated show in Taiwan's showbiz.
Top-rated = EXPENSIVE
now that there is only 1 television media company, who cares if you are watching Channel U or Channel 8?
Why bother buying expensive programs to win the competition?
what competition? Malaysian TV3 ah?
Media Corp
MediaCorp Pte Ltd features prominently(of course PROMINENTLY lah, switch channel here and there, still see mediacorp) in the development of Singapore's broadcasting history. We commenced Radio broadcast on 1 June 1936 and Television on 15 February 1963. Today , MediaCorp is Singapore's largest and most established (how about the"ONLY") broadcaster with a complete range of media businesses spanning TV, Radio, Entertainment Productions, Movie Productions, Newspapers, Magazines, Electronic Media and other broadcasting services. As part of its content-driven strategy, it produces highly-rated multi-lingual and multi-genre local content with a regional reach. We are committed to remain as The Choice in Singapore and the region (definitely THE CHOICE).
Yup this is Singapore, the state with only 1 1 effective TV broadcaster, 1 newspaper company.
Only in Singapore will you open up the media industry BEFORE drafting the anti-competitive codes and rules.
Only in Singapore will you let the media industry suffers losses for years before drafting the anti-competitive codes, and then let the 2 TV broadcaster, newspaper companies merge.
Then the codes for who? for the chicken rice conglomeration ah?
Only in Singapore will the damn obvious "consumer benefits" be notably absent from the benefits and costs analysis of a merger.
What to do? All Singapore companies following the political party example, mah.
i will miss you....
