Nope, not ebay. Nor porn (though 1 in 3 watch porn in office, which I find it amusing...)
The number one productivity-killer in the world.... from the man himself.
This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month.-Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of Facebook.
If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you.
Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life.
I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too.
1 billion user. That's 1,000,000,000.
Do you login to Facebook when you are at work? I have noticed that Facebook newsfeed are most active during weekdays, 9 to 5 office hours. During evening times, it drops off rapidly, most probably because people leave office and goes home to enjoy family time, or go for their leisure time (evidenced by photos and location check-ins)
Even people who works at places where social networking sites are barred, due to security concerns (If I am not mistaken, most financial institutes, and sensitive government agencies have IT network to block facebook and other social websites), people are still login to facebook via their smart-phones.
And Facebook still can grow. It has still not breached political bans in China, a very significant market with 1.2 billion Chinese not logged in to facebook yet. (imagine the growth rate when the China government relax the ban)
And facebook is still weak at mobile platform. I have no idea why facebook has not spend considerable resources at gearing out official facebook apps for iphone, ipad, android, windows and blackberry. Most apps we use on mobile to access facebook are actually third-party Apps, and are flawed and inconsistent. More important, it is a source of under-utilised revenue....
Yes we are interacting more on facebook, group chatting and sharing more of our lives...
but I wonder if facebook is killing our normal social interactions.....
A million dollar isn't cool. You know what's cool? A billion dollar.
I highly recommend this movie.
