One thing a lot of us neglected is what we wear reflects a lot on ourselves. If you walk to a luxury car showroom, you expect the representative to be dressed professionally. No way would you buy a Jaguar from a sales rep that wear jeans and T-shirt.

And a boy would probably want to be dressed in nice looking clothes on his first date. If he wants to give an impression of formality, he would probably go for a good tailored shirt to impress.
A lady would dress up elegantly, and definitely not wear hot pants nor tube-dress on her first date!

Just look at the 3 celebrities above. Britney dressed in a formal cheongsum that speaks elegance (for those that disagree, at least she puts in efforts to dress up in a nice manner)
