Dear Mr Derrick and Ms Melody,

Thank you for writing the article "Subscribers show areas with 'poor' mobile signal" on page B10 of The Straits Times dated November 14, 2012.

Your article pointed out that frustrated Singtel mobile subscribers have banded together on social media to plot out areas in Singapore they claim have spotty network coverage.

Thank you for the publication, it will go a long way to urging telcos to work hard for their customers' business.

I would also like to highlight that Starhub, and to a lesser extend, M1, have frustrated customers as well.

As a starhub user who just jumped from Singtel 8 months ago, I can say that I am very disappointed in Starhub coverage. After reading your article, I have visited the Google Map collaboration and produced one each for Starhub and M1 users. I am happy to say that many unsatisfied users have worked together to create a map for Starhub and M1 to take note.

I quote this from your article:-
"The louder you speak, the harder it is to ignore, and these collective actions amplify the message."
-Mr Rob Bratby, managing partner of technology law firm Olswang Asia, on "data mashups and crowd-sourced responses" as part of feedback from consumers.

Thank you for your efforts in consumers actions.

Sincerely,
Cherub
